TV Violance

TV violence is a big cause of Violent Juvenile crime. Children are exposed, from an early age, to a lot of TV violence. They are bombarded by violent commercials that advertise TV shows, they watch shows like NYPD Blue and Cops with their parents. And as they grow up, they are allowed the freedom to choose what they wish to view.

Videogame Violence

Also, most children also use videogame systems. These, including the arcades, are another place where violence takes place. Children are able to pull their enemy's heads off while the spine is still attached, they can blow holes in zombie monsters that chase them around. They can even dismember a 'Nightmare Creature' with a sword. All this violence must have an effect on how the children think. The violent nature of most games today is not exaggerated by much. The violence in the games is way too much. They need to be toned down slightly so that they do not depict such acts that would be thought as cool and tried by young and old alike. There have been many cases in which kids have been seriously injured or killed by trying to perform moves that mimic those done in the popular videogame series,
